Abstract
Among the most important factors in the creation of informal settlements are economic, social and managerial factors. Urban poverty has long been mentioned as a sufficient condition for the emergence and continuation of slums. A large number of villagers are forced to migrate due to economic conditions. On the other hand, these migrants settle in marginal areas due to economic poverty and, due to the lack of proper management by urban managers, create various problems and issues for the city and themselves. Ilam, the capital of Ilam province, is no exception and has many marginal neighborhoods that have led to the emergence of problems and issues in various urban areas.The present study has been prepared and organized in this regard and in pursuit of achieving strategies for informal settlements in the city of Ilam. The type of this research is applied and its research method is descriptive-analytical and survey. To present strategies and scenario planning, the future research method has been used through the Miqmac software. In this regard, 42 selected factors in the economic, social, cultural, physical, managerial, and environmental dimensions have been selected and weighted using the opinions of experts in the field, and the impact of each of these 42 factors on informal settlements in the city of Ilam has been obtained through the Miqmac software. Then, relevant strategies have been presented in accordance with the factors affecting the current status of informal settlements in the city of Ilam, and finally, conclusions have been drawn.
