Structural explanation of urban tourism development challenges in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari cities

Abstract

The purpose of the present research is to explain the structural challenges of urban tourism development in the cities of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari provinces. The current research is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive-analytical in terms of nature. The statistical population of the quantitative part includes tourists visiting various attractions in the cities of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari provinces, and there are 10,000 people. According to Cochran's formula, the sample size was 270 people and they were selected in the accessible way. The research tool included a researcher-made questionnaire, which was prepared based on the background of the research, theoretical foundations, and the views of the supervisors and advisors, and had 29 questions. The validity of the questionnaire has been confirmed in a formal and structural way, and its reliability has been proven based on Cronbach's alpha value of 0.90. The collected data were analyzed based on structural equation path analysis with PLS software. The results of structural equation path analysis with PLS software showed that the explained structural model had a good fit and all challenges had an adverse effect on tourism development in the cities of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province, and among them the challenges of weak management, lack of utilization From new technologies, lack of sufficient security, lack of necessary innovations and lack of culture building with the greatest impact and challenges of lack of strategic plan, lack of holding tourism events, weak spirit of hospitality, lack of taking advantage of different experiences.
